After lunch, we're driving home and 4yo has been pondering life's greatest questions when he has a stark realization.
4yo: Mommy! The baby can't come out of your belly! Because then it would BREAK!
Me: You're right, it would. It's okay though, the baby just grows in mommy's belly.
It doesn't come out of my belly.
4yo: Oh, so what then? It just comes out of your mouth or sonking? (read: something)
Me: *failing miserably at not laughing* No, honey, not from mommy's mouth, just out from under mommy's body.
4yo: Ohhhhhh. Okay.
Glad we avoided THAT conversation.
