SAHM v2.0 week 2

Things learned in week #2 of SAHM v2.0:

1. there's always next week.

2. this should have been week 1, because last week was preparatory, at best, illusory, in reality. The whole schedule wasn't fully in place.

3. Your kids will repeat everything you say about your frustrations with the power company. Make everything sound like a superhero adventure. "Yup. Daddy sure did fix the electricity shut off with his magic superhero powers. He is awesome! Aren't we lucky?"

3a. 8 hours and 30 minutes without power based on a series of unfortunate events SUCKS. It's enough to make you wish an entire group of people stepped on legos bare footed in the dark of night for each hour your pinto beans sat in the crock pot as it lost heat.

4. Your one year old's hunger for learning new words and her own language is enough to make everything worth it. Even in those moments when all she wants to do is sing "ehhh gooooooo!!!!" (Let it go)

5. Homework folders have legs and favorite hiding places that change the night before they are supposed to be submitted. (See #1)

One more week of surviving motherhood is in the books. Bring on the weekend!
