SAHM v 2.0 - The SGE (shame, guilt, embarassment) files

SAHM v 2.0 - Shame Files:

Exhibit A

Date Created: approximately Wednesday, January 7, 2015 based on mom's functioning brain remnants and a review of received text messages, and one short, relived, frantic anxiety full-body experience.

Date Discovered: Friday, January 9th after the routine belated backpack check that should have, obviously, happened on Wednesday, January 7th - but it happened today because we were 30 minutes late to school for doing the entire week's homework, because "I don't know" where the homework folder is (in the minivan, under the backseat, by the karate uniform belt). And besides, this SAHM v2.0 is all about them natural consequences, no trouble.

Sidenote: Catching up on a week of 1st grade homework is very easy.
Must remember this for 2nd grade - or at least by senior year of high school.

Description: First grade distress calls (as noted by the use of the block letters, the color red, and the exclamation points) are often the evidence of trust (and, in this case, the obvious lack thereof) in the parent-child relationship when the mom forgets to confirm the Wednesday ride home with both the child and ride giver.

Thankfully,  I'm surrounded by angels.

And thankfully, today is Friday.

We survived the first week back home in SAHM v2.0 life.

Happy Freaking New Year.

Annual family letter for 2015 (we totally skipped 2014) will get here eventually. And the distress call is going in a frame. Or in a sheet protector for future use.
