You wanted change, you got it America! I might just keep this blog updated with great changes President Elect Obama plans to bring our way. Number one on his list, overturning key executive orders on the highest moral level. Does the ban on stem-cell research that President Bush signed an executive order to protect mean anything to you? It should, as long as you believe in...ummm, I don't know maybe something like LIFE!!! Nevermind allowing abortions for whoever and and wherever. Number two on his list overturning President Bush's executive order allowing oil and gas drilling where the tree huggers previously didn't want us to be. The Bureau of Land Management recently opened up 360,000 acres for this, sparking Obama's spokespeople to say in essence, "Not for long". This means less oil from the U.S. and more dependent on foreign countries which equates to...yep you guessed it, higher prices.
What's next on the agenda for the left? Only time will tell but if the left stays left as it has for years and Obama remains cohorts with reverend Wright and terrorist Ayers you can bet the Pledge of Allegiance, prayer and the Start Spangled Banner will be next on the chopping block.

k, so let's dialogue here, babe... cuz i wanna know more about what you think.
Let's start here...
- stem-cell research:
1. from my understanding, Obama's looking to change (most likely increase) the amount of funding given to stem cell research.
2. stem cells are taken from "days-old" human embryos, that I'm assuming are "leftover" from fertility drug users.
3. Bad enough that the embryos don't get to grow into life, but can there be at least some good in using them for research once more money is given to fund the scientists?
What if they can find a cure in their research? It's not like people are being forced to have abortions for stem-cell research, you know?
I also think there's some sort of possibility to do similar research (maybe not with stem cells?) from umbilical cords that are banked after baby is born. Maybe they'll find more money to go that route instead of human embryos in the future.
your loving wife.
When you are talking about Obama's stance on abortion, if you are referencing the fact that he opposed a measure to ban abortion, it may behoove you to know that the reason he opposed it was because it didn't utilize language which would allow for abortions in the cases of incest or rape. Which, you may know, is exactly the stance the LDS church has on the issue of abortion.
Also not sure if you know this, but oil drilled in the U.S. is funneled into the world supply of oil, and it would take 20 years of oil drilling to make in impact to lower the prices in the U.S. How about instead let's research alternative fuel sources and become independent from other nation's that way? Because, let's face it, we're going to run out of oil someday, we might as well start looking into alternatives now.
Oh goodness! research that could save lives and hurt no one? giving women a choice on what they choose to do with thier lives and body in any circumstance? wanting to preserve an ecosystem and the rest of the Earth? All of those things sound terrible to me.
